Joseph Galarneau is a New York-based serial digital entrepreneur and Wayfair’s head of product for advertising and customer communications. He previously served as co-founder/CEO of Mezzobit, a data management SaaS start-up that was acquired by OpenX.
Joe’s prior roles include COO and digital GM for Newsweek and The DailyBeast, chief product officer for mobile martech platform Verve, CTO and head of product for New York Magazine, and a digital practice leader for KPMG Consulting with clients such as The New York Times, JP Morgan, and Philip Morris. He’s also an entrepreneur in residence at the Entrepreneurs Roundtable Accelerator, New York’s largest and oldest early-stage start-up program.
As an adjunct professor, Joe taught at Yale and NYU, where he developed the university’s first digital product management class. He’s also traveled to China, India, Russia, and elsewhere internationally lecturing on digital strategy, as well as conducting talks at TEDx, SxSW, and the Mozilla Festival. He holds an MBA from Duke, where he was a Fuqua Scholar.
